After a stunning teaser that came almost a month ago, here comes the theatrical trailer of Sye Raa. The Megastar Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus carries on the momentum of the former and manages the expectations.
The trailer is basically an extension of the teaser with very few new shots. One might feel a little underwhelmed due to that. However, we also get a glimpse of the story other than the rebelling and fight in the trailer.
The supporting characters played by Vijay Sethupathy, Jagapathi Babu, Kicha Sudeep and others get some additional footage than mere blink and miss glimpses. It also includes a bit of the female leads as well. We can get an idea of the storyline through their bits.
Finally, there is Chiranjeevi. If one has still not gotten used to his looks, the chances are that it will remain the same even after watching the movie. So, moving besides that, the Megastar looks like his energetic and enthusiastic best, doing action as only he can. The different setup is the refreshing bit. What is missing is a dialogue or two that carries the punch appealing to modern sensibilities. There is a dated vibe to the few that have been heard.
More than anyone, Sye Raa is a giant leap for Surender Reddy. Much has been said about his lack of experience in handling an ‘epic’ production. The visual quality and action have a different story to tell. If he succeeds and puts in similar effort going forward, there will be no looking back for him.
Check out the trailer below. Sye Raa looks like a perfect outing for the Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 with its high patriotic fervour. Ram Charan is producing the historical which is going to hit screens in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi simultaneously.
