When Tamil movie ‘Iru Mugan’ trailer (Inkokkadu in Telugu) has left the audiences asking for more from Vikram because of the dual roles he played in the movie, the makers of the movie should have paid more attention on the publicity of the movie.
The overseas collections of the movie from the premieres are surprising. The premiere figures are poor. But interestingly, the Telugu version’s premieres have collected more than the Tamil version
premieres. While ‘Iru Mugan’ collected $15,381 from premieres, ‘Inkokkadu’ collected $19,357.
These figures are really poor for a star hero like Vikram. His last film, Shankar’s ‘I’s impact and also the poor publicity of the present film might be the reason behind this poor performance on the opening day. The Telugu version had poor buzz comparatively since the beginning and lack of proper publicity added to the poor show.
