The remake of the famous Tamil film, Mounam Pesiyadhe, is set to be released in Telugu as Kanchu on the 28th of December. Mounam Pesiyadhe, a Suriya starrer film, had been released a long time ago in the year 2002.
Under the debutante direction of Ameer Sultan , the movie was a super hit because of its unique love story. Actors like Trisha and Nandha were launched to the Tamil film industry through this film along with Yuvan Shankar Raja who achieved great success as well.
The question remains whether the Telugu version of the reputed film will turn out to be a record breaker like its Tamil counterpart.
