Suriya’s announcement about his donation from the earnings of his ‘Soorarai Pottru‘ came a few days back leaving his fans feeling proud of him for the way he always extends a helping hand to people in need and especially, for the education of the underprivileged.
Now, the details of these donations came out. Out of the total, 5 crores promised, 2.5 cores would go to the education of the children of frontline COVID warriors, i.e., the doctors, nurses and all other medical workers including police, press, sanitary workers etc.
He can’t forget his parent industry and therefore, 1.5 crores will go to the film industry associations. Not to forget his fans, PROs and film trade, Suriya allocated Rs. 1 crore to them.
This excellent gesture is winning a lot of appreciation for Suriya. If he has allocated Rs. 5 crores for donations, Amazon Prime must have paid him a handsome amount as ‘Soorari Pottru’ happens to be one of the major biggies coming to an OTT platform directly.
