Suriya Not Going Back on His Word

Protesters Beat Suriya's Pic with Sandals

With theatres opening on 15th October, there are debates going on speculating if the audiences would take the risk to come to the theatres to watch movies. However, those movies that didn’t ope for a direct digital release are now heaving a sigh of relief.

But, Suriya who sold his ‘Soorarai Pottru’, ‘Aakasam Nee Haddhura’ in Telugu to the OTT player Amazon Prime Video for a good amount and also sold the satellite rights. Now, there were doubts if would go back on his decision.

However, Suriya seems to be okay with his earlier decision. Anyway, no one can be sure about the response to the theatrical releases as things didn’t restore to normalcy, yet.

Though the theatres are opening, they would open with limited capacity. The scenario is quite peculiar. Maybe, the makers might think of simultaneous release in theatres and OTTs as well in the coming days. Let’s wait and see.
