Amidst speculations on Venkatesh’s next, the Telugu remake of Tamil critically acclaimed movie ‘Asuran‘ to be bankrolled by his brother Suresh Babu, the Suresh Productions head revealed the name of the director of the remake.
No prizes for guessing that it would be Srikanth Addala who would be directing Venkatesh getting into the shoes of the acclaimed director, Vetrimaaran who made the original movie in Tamil.
Naturally, this official statement from Suresh Babu is creating jitters among Venky’s fans. If we take a look at Addala’s movies, one doubts if he can pull off a subject like ‘Asuran’ for a remake. The choice of the director is really risky.
He has no movies for almost four years and now, this one with Venkatesh. But, Addala can handle realistic setups that are needed for this kind of remakes. This aspect would be a plus point. In the end, Daggubati fans have to trust the judgement of Suresh Babu, as always.
