Finally, after many months we have something to update regarding box office. More than a month of the opening of cinemas, we had some decent fresh content movies for Diwali festival. The Hindi and Tamil film industries provided them to the audience.
The response, obviously, has been low, but it is better than the disastrous occupancies we had over the past month (since the official permission). In Hindi, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari opened with approximately 75 lacks on the opening day (November 15th).
Considering the new rules of fifty percent occupancy and many territories still not opened, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari has done decently. It has actually opened better than (Arjun Patiala) Diljit Dosanjh’s previous flick in the same combination with Kriti Sanon.
Similarly, in Tamil two new movies, Biskoth and Irandam Kuththu also grossed 4 Cr approximately. They are okay numbers considering the situation.
The critical thing to note here is that even under normal situations, these movies wouldn’t have opened any better. It would have been around the same numbers, as seen with Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari.
