On the petition of Sanjay Dutt requesting 6 months time to surrender, the Supreme court today gave the actor 4 weeks more time to surrender. The Judges ruling the petition did not agree for 6 months extension but said okay for 4 weeks more time given the complexities involved in the case. The court also imposed a condition that Sanjay Dutt should not be asking any more extension in this case. With this news, the makers of films in which Sanjay Dutt is acting are relieved.

It is known to our readers that on March 21st, Sanjay Dutt was convicted for 5 years jail term in 1993 illegal possession of arms case. The court then gave him four weeks to surrender.
