Mohanlal is setting a new record of sorts as all five of his upcoming films namely, Marakkar, Bro Daddy, 12th Man, Alone, and an as-yet-untitled project directed by Vysakh are looking set to premiere directly on OTT.
The most prominent title on the list is Marakkar: Lion of The Arabian Sea. The big-budget action drama, which is said to be one of the costliest projects in Mohanlal’s career is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video this Christmas Eve.
As per reports, Marakkar will be premiering on Amazon Prime Video on the 24th of December. An official announcement is likely to be out shortly.
Marakkar is based on the historical character, Kunjali Marakkar and his warfare on the Portuguese. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and it was apparently shot on a lavish scale.
It will be Mohanlal’s second outing on Amazon Prime Video this year after Drushyam 2. The film has Keerthy Suresh, Sunil Shetty, and others in important release.
