‘16 Vayathinile’ (Padaharella Vayasu in Telugu) directed by Bharathiraja, will soon hit the theaters in October again and yesterday the “cult classic” film’s trailer was released. The highly popular movie is being re-released and according to previous planning it will happen by the end of October. This movie features legendary actors Sridevi, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in the main roles.
At its trailer launch today, where superstars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Bharathiraja were present, we managed quick words with some of them and learned few things about the actors and the time they had together. We heard the director recalls his experience of approaching the superstar Rajinikanth for the first time for the film and said that he described it as an art movie. Talking about the salary expected by Rajini, Bharathiraja said it was 5000 Rupees and after some negotiations they settled for 3000. However, the director gave only 2500 Rupees in the end for the classic.
