Superstar Rajinikanth Dares, But Could Not Justify The RiskThe COVID second wave has instilled fear with the rising cases and increasing fatalities with each passing day. The cine-industry has also been severely hit but this hasn’t deterred team Annaatthe headlined by Rajinikanth. After four months of halt, the team resumed the shoot in Hyderabad on April 10 and leading lady Nayanthara joined the sets yesterday.

Annaatthe team has however taken utmost precautions as they shoot in the pandemic and Rajinikanth is being taken care like a child. Director Siva is also adhering to all the protocols.

You would be surprised to know the protocols that are being mandatory followed on the sets would make one feel no less than a hospital. Once an artiste is one the set, the actor gets sanitized and then wears a PPE kit and then wears a face shield apart from masks. Coming to Thalaivar, none is allowed to go near him and should maintain 10-feet distance away from him. Director Siva when discussing a scene is 4-feet away from the Superstar.

While shooting Rajinikanth’s scene, the set is enclosed with a black cloth and none can go near him except for his personal assistant. Such is the precautions the Annaatthe team is following religiously. The team plans to release the film on Diwali which falls on November 4. But when the film has such a long time to release, is it worth taking the risk amid a time when the second wave is at peak.
