The Malayalam Superstar Mohan Lal is all set to add another blockbuster to his kitty. His latest film Lucifer is setting new box office records in Malayalam film industry.
Lucifer is directed by another hugely popular star in the Malayalam cinema, Prithviraj Sukumaran. The directorial skills and fan service paid by the junior to the senior star is coming under tremendous appreciation. Lucifer has created the opening weekend record in Malayalam and has crossed 50 Cr gross worldwide in the opening weekend alone.
The current biggest grosser ever in Malayalam is Pulimurugan, and it is followed by Baahubali 2. The way Lucifer is going, the trade is expecting it to become the new number one overtaking Pulimurugan. If that doesn’t happen due to multiple releases in the coming weeks, Lucifer is still sure to end up as number two. However, given the growth in the market and exceptional performance in the overseas, the odds are in favour of Lucifer to emerge number one.
