Superstar Krishna was a dynamic personality. He was known for his daring approach and ferocious attitude. Incidentally, he shared a strained relationship with Sr NTR both professionally and politically.
While the entire Andhra Pradesh was witnessing Sr NTR’s political entry wave, Krishna stood against NTR and joined Congress. He shared a good rapport with Rajiv Gandhi and hence the decision to join the Congress.
Even in NTR’s wave, Krishna managed to win from Eluru parliamentary constituency in 1989. He won as an MP from there and started off, what was a brief political career. Krishna was born in Eluru and he started off his political career from there.
After Rajiv Gandhi’s demise necessitated elections again in 1991, Krishna contested from Eluru again and lost the election. From there on, he started to move away from politics. He stated that he lost interest in politics after the passing of Rajiv Gandhi.
Later, Krishna pledged support to YS Rajasekhar Reddy and in turn, to Congress again. But after YSR’s passing in 2009, Krishna decided to call it quits for politics and this marked the end of his political career.
