Director Sukumar, who is busy shooting for 1: Nenokkadine with superstar Mahesh Babu plans to turn producer soon and fund creative, low-budget films and introduce his associates through them. An increasing number of directors are turning producers, especially by introducing their own assistants.
Sukumar plans to introduce two of his associates soon and produce their films. The idea is to produce low-budget films and in turn make more money out of it. Even ace directors like Shankar has introduced so many of his own assistants to the industry.
There is news that even Trivikram may follow suit and introduce some of his own associates. Is this a good move? The reason i ask is because the risk involved in it is very high.
