Sukumar_Not_A_Pan_India_Director_YetPan-India is the way forward for south cinema. The likes of Rajamouli (Baahubali, RRR) and Prashanth Neel (KGF franchise) have become pan-India directors now. However, Sukumar, who helmed Pushpa hasn’t yet gotten the pan-India branding.

Pushpa was a big box office hit in Hindi and the film got next level reach following the OTT debut as well. However, none of this fame was attributed to Sukumar.

Allu Arjun walked away with all the attention as it was his mannerisms and acts that were lapped up by the pan-India audience. Moreover, he already had good recognition amongst other language audience. So, he was highlighted much more than the director, Sukumar.

Sukumar will be raring to announce himself in the pan-India circuit with Pushpa 2. Now that Pushpa is a widely popular title and everyone knows about the cast and crew, it will be easier for Sukumar to showcase his talent and get the desired branding. But can he actually make it happen?
