Director Sukumar is usually perceived as a silent and invisible type. He rarely makes a public appearance or is expressive in a manner that becomes big news. It is why his presence and speeches at the movie-related function are special.
Well, the reticent director has been in the news lately due to the passing away of a close friend and manager Prasad. He has been reported to be depressed and not coming to terms with the grief. A major issue that is increasing the emotion is the lockdown
state.
Prasad had passed away in the first week of April. A month later and it seems Sukumar is still not over the loss. On occasion the birthday of the friend who is no more, he has penned a heartfelt emotional prose reminiscing life and time. It shows how close he has been to Prasad.

Sukumar is currently directing Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa. The shooting is temporarily halted due to the lockdown situation. Mythri Movie Makers, the banner behind Sukumar’s Rangasthalam is producing Pushpa, as well.
