In an interesting coincidence, it was discovered that films of two Tollywood actors were released on the same day. The actors starring in those movies are the notable Natasimham Balayya and Victory Venkatesh . Interestingly several particulars of both the movies are also coincidental.
The movies in question Ashoka Chakravarthi and Dhruva Nakshatram were both released on 29-06-1989 with Balakrishna and Venkatesh as the actors respectively and Bhanupriya and Rajni as the lead actresses. Also, the subject of both these films and the underlying themes mirror each other. Interestingly, while Ashoka Chakravarthi was an utter flop at the box office, Dhruva Nakshatram on the other was a major success.
