Telugu film industry is a lucrative market that attracts most if not all Tamil films. Off late a number of Tamil stars have started to dub and release the film even if nothing really happens box office wise. The idea behind it is that whatever that comes from here is a cherry on cake.
The latest on the dubbing front is that makers of Ajith starrrer Arrambam are looking for buyers to dub the cinema in Telugu. However much to their dismay they are not getting the right price because the last film of Ajith which was dubbed into Telugu had bombed big time at ticket counter. Also it has been a long time since the actor really had anything going for him in Telugu as well. Even the makers know this but as the film is directed by Vishu Vardhan, who had directed Panja in the past and with the presence of known names likes Rana, Tapsee and Nayanatara in the cast, they had expected a better price.
Arrambam is on its way to have a grand release on October 31 in Tamil and it has been sold for record prices there. If the deal isn’t confirmed soon the Telugu version would most likely have a delayed release.
