Nani DasaraThis week’s Friday, March 30, is going to be eventful at the box office, as four biggies will battle it out to win the audience’s hearts and attention.

Dasara is the biggest, costliest, and most crucial film of Nani‘s career. He is expecting Dasara will catapult him to the league of top stars. He has also heavily promoted the film in the North markets.

Trade believes that Dasara will take a solid opening not only in the Telugu states but also in the USA. Keerthy Suresh is also looking forward to this movie as she too needs a blockbuster movie to make her bounce back. The film will be released in multi-languages as a pan-India project.

But Dasara will face stiff competition from biggies from various industries also releasing on March 30th.

Ajay Devgn is coming up with Bholaa which is an adaptation of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi. Ajay Devgn, who has also directed the film, is said to have made many changes to the original script. The film’s trailer has got a positive response.

Despite being a remake, Bollywood is betting big on Bholaa as it has enough action and masala to lure the masses. No film has performed well after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in B-town. Tu Jhoot Main Makkaar was an average affair. So Bollywood needs another solid hit to keep the momentum going.

Tamil cinema is also coming up with the remake of the Kannada blockbuster Mufti this week starring Silambarasan titled Pathu Thala. The film is a mafia saga and Simbu plays the role of gangster AGR. Simbu needs another success to cement his status as a bankable star after the success of Maanadu.

Kannada star Dhananjay who played the cruel Jolly Reddy in Pushpa is going through a rough phase at the box office. His last few films turned out to be damp squibs. He is now coming up with Gurudev Hoysala in which he is playing a police officer. The film, also his 25th, is touted to be the biggest one in his career.

We will have to wait and see how Dasara will perform on the pan-India level facing such stiff competition from other industries.
