Karnataka has entered the elections mood with the electoral polls to be held on the 10th of May. The election code is already in effect in the state and the election commission has started to tighten the screws on anti-social activities.
In this context, a car owned by noted Bollywood producer, Boney Kapoor has been seized by the election commission today.
Going into the story, the officials were holding routine searches at the Hebbal road in Bengaluru earlier today.
As a part of the activity, the officials stopped a BMW car and later identified that it was loaded with silver ornaments. When asked for necessary documents regarding the silver goods, those in the car failed to produce the same.
Consequently, the officials seized 66 KGs of silver goods, spoons, plates, and other items. These items are valued at a whopping Rs 39 lakhs.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the car is registered on the Bayview Productions banner, which is owned and operated by Boney Kapoor. The car and the driver are now in police custody. What’s the connection between the Karnataka elections and Boney Kapoor?
