Director Sukumar Azad FoundationIndia is witnessing a rapid rise in COVID cases and the situation is worsening further with new strains like Black Fungus, White Fungus being identified by the doctors. To do his bit, star director Sukumar has joined the list of celebrities in helping the COVID patients by providing them the essentials.

Sukumar has reportedly come forward to donate medical essentials like oxygen cylinders and concentrators for COVID patients worth Rs 25 lakhs. The star director reportedly got to know about the requirement from his friend Ram Babu in Amalapuram, following which Sukumar kept in touch with him regularly to know about the requirements and other essentials to do his bit.

In the first move, Sukumar has supplied 40 litres capacity of four cylinders to one Azad Foundation in Amalapuram. The director is in touch with the district collector and other personnels and is taking all measures to help the patients.

On the work front, Sukumar is busy with pan-India film, Pushpa. The shoot which was going at brisk pace got stalled after Allu Arjun got infected with the virus. While the actor is in pink health now, the shoot will resume only once the pandmeic subsides. It is learnt that Sukumar has wrapped up 90 percent of shoot for the first installment and is planning to go ahead with October release.
