SSR Reveals Komaram Bheemudo InspirationRRR is a worldwide phenomenon now and one of the most revered films of our generation. Many acclaimed filmmakers and critics all over the world raved about the visual spectacle called RRR. SS Rajamouli is now a name to reckon with not just in India but all over the globe.

Recently Rajamouli attended a podcast by the famous duo hosts Josh Olson and Joe Dante. In the podcast, Rajamouli talked about the films that inspired him.

While speaking to them, Rajamouli revealed that Mel Gibson’s Braveheart was a huge inspiration behind the cult Komaram Bheemudo song in the second half of RRR.

He got inspired by the climax of that film and picturized the song in RRR where Bheem is getting whipped by Ram Charan but refuses to budge down and apologize to the British.

Rajamouli also said that Mel Gibson is like Dronacharya, and he is Ekalavya.

Anurag Kashyap recently issued a statement that there is a healthy chance of RRR getting nominated for the Oscars next year and might even win an award in the foreign film category.
