Srinivasa Kalyanam - Familiar And Weak Except One Srinivasa Kalyanam started its campaign with an instant winner of a song. The marriage song sung by legend SP Balasubramanium is superb. It raised expectations on the rest of the album. Did it live up to the anticipation?

We have to say Srinivasa Kalyanam operates on a familiar terrain but fails to deliver as a whole. The Mickey J Mayer sound is on predictable lines and hence comparison comes with his other albums in the same zone like Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Unfortunately, it is not on the same level. Even for that matter Shatamanam Bhavati in the same combo was a better album overall.

Apart from the title song, Ithadena Ithadena sung by Shriya Ghosal is fine. Vinnavamma Thoorupu Chukka follows it despite being a situational number. The rest also give a largely situational appeal, and don’t have a standalone listening impact. Now, it all depends on how well the songs are placed and shot. Srinivasa Kalyanam hits cinemas all over on August 9. Nithiin and Rashi Khanna star in the movie directed by Satish Vegesna.
