When he decided to rope in a senior artist for the main hero who is in his early thirties, he had two actors in mind. The first one was Avasarala Srinivas and the second one, of course was Srinivas Reddy. When the director approached Avasarala, he liked the story line but could not accept the film immediately as he was busy with ‘Jyo Achyutananda’.
Next day, he went to Srinivas Reddy who gave his nod immediately and then they started the film within three weeks. Avasarala’s busy schedule brought Srinivas Reddy on board for a typical character who believes in astrology. Do you think Avasarala’s presence would have elevated the character as there had been an opinion that this kind of role needs a Rajendra Prasad in his youth?
