Superstar Mahesh Babu’s new film Srimanthudu has arrived in theaters and as you all might know by now, the star has got it right this time around. The film is running with packed houses all over and its expected to continue that way going forward as well. So how are the first day numbers and where do they stand compared to the best?
The first day numbers for Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu are good all over. It has set new benchmarks for Superstar in almost all the territories and not only that with the new business terms post Baahubali, the film has comfortably found a place at the second position as many had expected before release.
Now comparisons with Baahubali are unfair but still if one were to do it, Srimanthudu has not been close to the historic grosser in any territory. However Srimanthudu has crossed the previous second best Atharintiki Daredi with good margin in all the territories except two.
Day 2 has already started great guns and is going strongly all over. One has to wait and see if the opening day position is repeated again in the long run or not. For now Mahesh Babu fans can surely be proud of this achievement with a regular commercial entertainer.
