Srikalahasti 2024 Candidate: Chandrababu's DilemmaThe 2019 election result from Rayalaseema is nothing less than a nightmare for TDP. It has managed to win only three seats in the entire region.

As elections are nearing, Chandrababu shifted the focus to finalizing the candidates in the Seema districts. The special focus is on Kadapa and Chittoor districts where the party is weak.

In the Srikalahasti constituency, Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy has been the party candidate for many years. Bojjala easily won the seat in the 2009 and 2014 elections.

He was the Deputy Chief Minister in the Chandrababu Naidu government. But then, due to age-related issues, Bojjala did not contest in 2019, and his son, Sudheer Reddy has contested.

He lost the election with a whopping 38K votes. Bojjala is now in a condition of not even recognizing the people.

We have recently seen Chandrababu going to his residence and celebrating his old friend’s Birthday.

But this has started bothering the TDP cadre. For various reasons, Sudheer Reddy could not strike a chord with the party cadre like his father. He is also not so active in the constituency.

They are demanding that he should be denied a seat or else, it will be a cakewalk to YSR Congress once again.

Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy who got more than One Lakh votes in the 2019 election is facing severe anti-incumbency later on.

TDP rank and file says he will definitely lose if the right candidate is fielded.

They say Chandrababu should keep his past sentiment and friendships aside and decide on the candidate.
