Sridevi's High Demands Saved Rajamouli from MiscastingIt was all over the media that all India star Sridevi rejected the offer for playing the role of Shivagami in ‘Baahubali’. Many expressed sympathy on the actress for having lost such an iconic role which is now regarded one of the most powerful female roles.

Nonetheless, Rajamouli is one happy guy for Sridevi’s rejection. No one could have essayed the role of Shivagami as Ramya Krishna did. In a recent open interview, the director revealed the reasons behind Sridevi’s rejection.

She demanded Rs. 8 crores as her remuneration and plus five business class tickets whenever she comes for the shooting and she has to be put up in a high-fi hotel. Besides this, she even demanded a share in the profits for the Hindi version.

Added, it seemed really impossible for the makers to consent to her demands. Thus, Ramya was roped in for playing the role. More than the remunerations, the budget of ‘Baahubali’ went into the making of the movie and Bollywood needs to learn lessons from Rajamouli-Sridevi anecdote.
