Southern popular celebrity Rajinikanth has been an inspiration to many actors and actresses and lately it seems like he’s an inspiration to the renowned actress Sridevi. Rajinikanth, who enjoyed his stardom in several countries including Japan, is very famous over there and from what we hear actress Sridevi is also emerging as a big star in Japan now. After the news of her comeback film ‘English Vinglish’ and its special festival screening, the actress seems to have made a mark.
R Balki, the producer of ‘English Vinglish’, stated that the movie is faring well in Japan and the response is terrific since most of the Japanese women seem to be connecting with the protagonist’s character because of the language issue. The most interesting and omitted detail here is that the movie has not even hit the screens there up till now and its Festival screening at the Aichi Women’s Film Festival in Tokyo did all the wonders.
