Has the Spyder been trapped in its web? One can’t help but think that way looking at how things have transpired with the Superstar Mahesh Babu film.
The AR Murugadoss directed movie was the most hyped and eagerly awaited film at the time of its announcement. It still is, but the delay in release has slightly affected the expectations without any doubt. With the sudden but perfectly timed announcement of Jai Lava Kusa release date, all of a sudden Spyder is looking wobbly.
The biggest and also the grave mistake the Spyder unit did here be that they didn’t announce the release date of the movie immediately. Their plight too can be understood as they had once announced a release date (June 23) and didn’t make it on the said date. Another announcement and delay would have made people lose interest in the movie. It was the reason why no official release date was announced but a time frame of Dussera was given.
The Spyder team was looking at the progress of another biggie, Pawan Kalyan’s film with Trivikram, to announce its release date and didn’t think that much about Jai Lava Kusa. The latter too was doing the same. The only but important difference was JLK announced the release date first. Now Spyder has to stick to a week gap or clash or just postpone to a new date. What will be the decision? Let’s see how long it will take for Spyder to announce.
