Superstar Mahesh Babu is returning to big screen after more than a year. As usual, he is coming with another exciting combination. With Spyder, it is his first-time combination with AR Murugadoss. There are tremendous expectations on the film. Let us see how the opening is expected to be by the trade.
There are two days to release, and the advances have opened all over. What is confirmed from just the advance-booking alone is that Spyder will be career best opener of Mahesh Babu, beating Srimanthudu. It is a done deal already.
The real interest here for everyone is to see if Spyder can be industry best. Can it beat Khaidi No 150 and emerge as Non-Baahubali biggest opener? Right now that seems to be a difficult task even with the big advances. There are two primary reasons, the first one being the issue of theaters with another biggie already running, and the second one is the smaller centers aren’t as exciting as the A centers.
Keeping the above-mentioned two reasons in mind, the Telugu states opening at best case is likely to be in top five. However, with incredible numbers from the US, the overall Worldwide position is very much likely to find a place in the top 2. Let’s wait and see where Spyder eventually lands.
