Speak or Perish, Jagan Pulls Plug Off Tollywood's VentilatorJagan Mohan Reddy Government seems to be adamant about teaching Pawan Kalyan a lesson for all that political criticism. The Government filed a house motion petition against High Court’s Single Bench Judge allowing Hiked Prices for Vakeel Saab until the Monday’s hearing.

The High Court Division Bench agreed with Government’s view and directed the Exhibitors to sell the tickets only at Government allowed prices. These are the prices which are quite unrealistic and if followed, theaters particularly in small towns and Panchayats will not even recover their Power expenses.

Moreover, the issue is blown out of proportion that Government may be compelled to implement this for all the films which is equivalent to plugging off Tollywood’s Ventilator. The exhibitors who have survived the pandemic will fall with this and it will be a problem for the producers and the stars as well as they need to curtail their film budgets, remunerations to make their projects viable.

In audience point of view, this will do no good in the long term. Several theaters have stopped screening Vakeel Saab today as they could not screen the film on these prices. This means very soon, the cheapest form of entertainment may not be available for the audience at all.

Its high time the industry biggies take a call and stand for themselves. They should try to bargain with the Jagan Government or brace for a long legal battle. Its like speak or perish!
