Responding to this question during the Jio Filmfare Awards (South) event, NTR gave an indirect answer using a popular Telugu proverb which reads,”Gurram pani gurram cheyyaali. Gaadida pani gaadida cheyyaali.” This means that one has to do that job that suits him/her the best.
That’s a beautiful way to say that direction isn’t his cup of tea and obviously, he isn’t interested in direction. NTR won the best actor award for his performance in ‘Naannaku Prematho’. He thinks that the award symbolises the father-son relationship with his father and also with his son. Well said!
