Nithin happens to be the first celebrity across the nation to announce a certain amount as a donation to the CM’s relief fund to fight against COVID-19. He met KCR and handed over the cheque himself.
When the actor did it for a noble cause, KCR embraced the actor appreciating his initiative. Now, social media users see this gesture from Nithin as unnecessary during the times when the government is preaching social distancing.
Nithin could have deposited the amount in the CM’s relief fund account through bank transfer instead of going in person. The CM and KCR’s embrace also shouldn’t have happened as it would send a wrong message to the folks there who are yet to see the necessity of social distancing.
Day by day, the count of people contracting the disease has been on an increase in India and it’ highly unimaginable how things might go haywire and create havoc if the disease starts spreading at a faster pace.
However, Nithin’s donation must be appreciated despite the response to his hug with KCR. Maybe, he didn’t give it much thought, then. At least now, celebs need to be very careful as they set precedent to many things.
