KGF 2 is banking on the blockbuster success of the first part, KGF. The second installment is up for theatrical release on the 14th of this month and the stakes are high on the same.
As KGF 2 gears up for release in just over a month from now, the promotions are progressing on a dull note. The makers held back on the trailer which will be out only on 27th March, which is still a fair way out from now.

In the meanwhile, team KGF is dropping not-so-great posters. Earlier, they unveiled a portrait of Rocky aka Yash to announce the trailer release date. There is no complaint against this poster, but at the same time, it isn’t drool-worthy either.
Today, marking Women’s Day, a new poster featuring important female characters in the film was unveiled and it looks bland. At this point in time, when KGF 2 is gearing up for the long-awaited release, fans will be wanting action-packed stuff, rather than thematic posters.

Instead of releasing such lackluster posters, the makers can instead unveil the songs from the album or come up with some other innovative promotions. For instance, everyone saw how the Naatu Naatu song worked wonders for RRR by fetching humongous reach. KGF 2 unit should take a cue from this.
Namesake promotions will be of no use for pan-India biggies. The makers still have around 5 weeks to lay a solid platform for KGF 2 with aggressive promotions. It is high time they change the gear.
