Despite several educative measure to increase the polling percentage, the voter turn out for GHMC elections is disappointing. The polling began as early as 7 AM in the morning but polling booths wore a deserted look across the city.
By 3 PM, the polling percentage is just 30. Even sad is that the voting percentage is very low in West Zone where the IT hub is present indicating that educated voters once again stood away from the polling.
Celebrities have exercised their voting right in the morning itself and requested voters to come out. The state government had declared holiday for the election but it looks like voters are confined to indoors enjoying the day.
