This seems absolutely ridiculous on the face of it to know that Radhika Apte actually lost one of the potential movies made in Bollywood. The makers of ‘Vicky Donor’ wanted a skinny actress to play the female lead.
In that case, if Radhika Apte can be tagged as overweight, then, there would be a hell lot of others who we think are voluptuous but can be tagged as obese. The actress revealed that she was on a month-long holiday and hence, put on some holiday weight.
Till date, never did Radhika seem to be an overweight lady. There is a thin line between being slim and skinny. But, Bollywood makers seem to be obsessed with skinny girls.
Look, what they did to our Rakul Preet Singh and Keerthy Suresh. While Rakul looked anaemic, Keerthy was slammed for her skinny look that made her unrecognizable in the first place. They became slim for their Bollywood projects.
No wonder, Radhika’s bubbly look wasn’t spared and the makers of ‘Vicky Donor’ chose Yami Gautham. By the way, ‘Vicky Donor’ was remade in Telugu as ‘Naruda Donaruda’ with Sumanth playing the title role.
