A few days back, SS Rajamouli drew the uninvited attention of the trollers for a good cause who pitched in to help Devika Bahudhanam, a cancer patient, who worked as a coordinator on Baahubali post-production works.
The trollers questioned that can’t Rajamouli who made the magnum opus in crores, can’t he afford to give Rs 3 crores for the treatment instead of choosing a crowd-funding platform. Now, the trollers have received a tight slap on their faces.
The patient Devika Bahudhanam had responded on social media and requested the naysayers not to be judgemental about Rajamouli. She explained how the filmmaker and his family stood by her, supporting her in every step. She informed the netizens that the treatment is not available in Basavatarakam and that Rajamouli is helping her in all possible ways. She asked the trollers to refrain from passing negative comments on Rajamouli and his family.
Devika Bahudhanam is battling cancer which is quite expensive and the treatment is not available in India. She needs to undergo “CAR-T therapy” which is available only in Spain. While her crowdfunding amount is yet to be reached, Devika has left for her treatment a day back.
While we at M9News wish Devika pink health, this also comes as a lesson that one should not be judgemental about anyone’s help.
