Certain movies have that flavour of innocence while dealing with an intense subject like women liberation. Even a slight deviation will be prone to controversies as if by default. ‘Sita On The Road’ trailer came out on International Women’s Day to speak about women’s dreams, desires, wishes and exploitation.
The trailer showcased the individual journey of five women, their desires and their trails towards liberation. Frankly speaking, the trailer didn’t show any abusive content or bold scenes like we have watched in the trailer of ‘90 ML‘ that looked more like a B grade movie. However, ‘Sita’ in the title and the content of the movie has that capacity to create controversy as it happens to be the name of a goddess who is known for her chastity.
Moreover, there is a scene in the trailer in which two of the female protagonists speak about entering into a temple without bathing. This may also irk the sentiments of regional outfits. Oops! The content of the trailer is actually worth to be told and the makers have chosen a simple way to showcase it. But, the title and the above-mentioned scene are enough to brew controversies.
