Meanwhile, Single Screen theaters are not keen on opening the theaters as operating under low occupancies will mean only further losses. To assess the situation, Single Screen Association of both the Telugu States is planning a meeting on September 5th.

They are planning to take a decision and ensure that all the Single Screen owners of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana follow it. As of now, every body in the industry are looking at Sankranthi 2021 opening of the theaters. That too they hope things will be normal like in the Pre-COVID levels.

2020 has been the worst year for the film industries across the country. The Exhibition Sector is bleeding losses with the closure of over six months. Further, their very existence is being threatened by the emergence of the OTT Platforms and their popularity.
