Simran missed working with Yash Raj Films

Southern actress Simran Bagga, who is making a comeback with forthcoming Tamil-Telugu romantic-drama “Aaha Kalyanam”, said that she missed acting for Yash Raj films and wished they had entered southern cinema much earlier. Yash Raj Films is venturing into southern cinema with “Aaha Kalyanam”, southern remake of “Ban Baja Baraat”.

Speaking at the audio launch she said that she would have worked with Yash Raj films had they entered southern cinema before her marriage. She added that she would have definitely done a few more films. Simran is playing an extended cameo in the film, which is directed by debutant A. Gokul Krishna. It features Nani and Vani Kapoor in lead roles.

Vani Kapoor, who made her cinematic debut with “Shuddh Desi Romance”, is making her south Indian debut with this film. Introducing Vani at the function, Simran said, “If Khushbu (actress) was the idli of Tamil cinema, Vani will be considered as jalebi by the audience”.
