Rowdy star The Vijay Deverakonda and director Puri Jagannadh delivered a miserable flop, Liger, last month. The film was heavily criticized for the lack of freshness in the script, dumb screenplay, and outdated presentation by Puri Jagannadh.
A section of netizens feels that Vijay Deverakonda did well as an action hero in Liger and gave his 100%. The film was ruined by Puri Jagannadh’s unimaginative direction and poor romantic track. In the boxing episodes, Deverakonda was fab and he should continue doing mass films.
But the truth is whenever Deverakonda has attempted regular commercial movies they have fallen flat on its face. He has a knack for performing better in films like Taxiwala, Geetha Govindam, and Arjun Reddy, which are a bit different than routine.
Also, he has a good following among the youth, so doing romantic entertainers with a novel point is the best bet for him right now.
His upcoming film Kushi with Samantha in the direction of Shiva Nirvana is one such film in the right direction.
