MS Dhoni RetirementTeam India has registered its First Loss in the ongoing Cricket World Cup against England. Chasing a hefty target of 338 on a Pitch which had an invariable bounce in the second innings, India struggled but was not out of the game until the 43 Over. Rishabh Pant who did some aggressive batting fell in 40th Over and things have changed drastically.

MS Dhoni came to the crease and struggled to speed up but Hardik Pandya continued to slog. Shortly, Pandya also got out which brought Kedar Jadhav to the crease and then something unimaginable has happened. Dhoni and Jadhav played like they are batting for One Ball A Run. Dhoni, in particular, is to be blamed for showing absolutely Zero intent in going after the total.

Dhoni’s reflexes have slowed down and that is clearly visible in the match against Afghanistan as well but skipper Virat Kohli backed him up. More than anything, what pains the team supporters today is Dhoni did not even try and kept only milking the singles which does not make any sense. Jadhav who partnered Dhoni may have just followed him.

It looks like Dhoni has passed his prime. All Greats come to that stage of the career and we may witness that stage of Dhoni as well. There are demands that he should be sacked for the next game which we all know is difficult. Probably, Dhoni may hang his boots after India’s World Cup Campaign.
