Originally, superstar Mahesh Babu-starrer Telugu thriller ‘1: Nenokkadine’ was more than three hours long. Two days after its release the makers cut short the film by good 20 minutes following the unanimous feedback of the audience. While the film may have opened to mixed ratings, but director Sukumar has now decided to further shorten it and send it to film festivals.
He said that since the film has been raved by the critics, he plans to send it to several upcoming film festivals. He added that he plans to make it much shorter by removing all the songs. Despite its average run at the box-office, the film has rated phenomenally high on IMDB. It has even surpassed Hollywood films such as Inception and many such blockbusters.
Is ‘1: Nenokkadine’ turning out to be the most underrated Telugu film ever? It certainly does look like that and its the audience who have to be blamed for not appreciating a film that went against the grain.
