One of the most highly anticipated films of this year is Major, which is based on 26/11 martyr Major Unnikrishnan’s life, and how he fought and sacrificed his life for the people of his country.
Adivi Sesh is playing the titular role in the film, and Sobhita Dhulipala is playing a crucial role. The team of Major released the first look of Sobhita’s from the film today, and it’s definitely a very intriguing one. Despite being a Telugu native, Shobhita has done just a single Telugu film so far. She was previously seen in Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari, in which she played a terrific, performance oriented role.
Playing the character of Pramoda, Shobhita’s character in Major has been given the description, “The Terrorists came into the hotel. Then they came for her. She fought back.” While this does not give us a clear picture of what her character is, netizens are speculating that she’s playing the role of a person who’s held hostage by terrorists, who fights hard and courageously for her life, and might then lose her life. It is very clear that Shobhita plays a very strong character in the film, one that is going to be a memorable one. It looks like she is reserving her best for the home audience.
On the whole, Major is managing to rise the expectations with every single announcement. With the second wave of Coronavirus greatly affecting the theatre business in North India, it is now to be seen if Major will release according to its schedule, or if it will be postponed.
