Shirdi Sai Movie Review

What is Shirdi Sai about?
It is Raghavender Rao’s remake of the life of divine personality ‘Sai Baba’ who walked on Earth in flesh and blood.

How is Nagarjuna as Sai?
The make up suited well to Nag. His walking style was slightly odd to the character. His voice lacked the depth required by the character. However, his performance and expressions in the last 20 minutes or so is superb.

Who are its target audience?
It is a noble effort of the makers. As Sai says, Every one is equal. The movie has universal appeal.

How is the direction?
Raghavender Rao is undoubtedly the best to direct devotional movies. Some cinematic liberties like comedy tracks should have been avoided.

What about the others?
Srikanth as Dasaganu, Sri Hari as Wales, Brahmanandham as Sandeham, Kamalini as Radha Krishna Mai, Shiyaji Shinde as Bhatia, Sharath Babu as Mahalsapathi, Tanikella Bharani as Bhooti, Vinaya Prasad as Bayijya Bai are good in their roles.

What about MM Keeravani?
Back Ground Score and music by Keeravani is perfect for the movie. And is one of the biggest assets to the movie.

What about other departments?
The cinematography by S. Gopal Reddy. Editing by Shravan is okay

How is the CG work?

There is not much of CG involved in the movie. Whatever little present is average.

What about the production values?
Good. Mahesh Reddy must be appreciated for attempting such a devotional venture even though there are commercial risks involved.

What about its box office prospects?
Given the popularity of Sai Baba in AP, If all the devotees in AP turn up, it will be a massive hit.

Shirdi Sai = ? Annamaya, Sri Ramadasu, Pandu Rangadu? (Which one I would compare with?)
Sri Ramadasu

Bottom Line:
This is the best current generation can get.
