Among the Sankranthi releases, ‘Shatamanam Bhavati‘ opened up to mixed reviews but has picked up very well landing the buyers in the safe zone. Especially, the word of mouth is working wonders for the movie overseas.
The movie has reached half a million mark making it a profitable venture for the US buyers who had entered a multi-film deal with Dil Raju and suffered losses due to the previous movie ‘Nenu, Nanna, Naa Boyfriends’. The film could achieve the half a million dollar feat with the two biggies really doing well.
‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ has entered the profit zone much earlier, last Sunday itself collecting $1.4 million plus in the US and the good numbers are still continuing. ‘Khaidi No. 150’ is also doing well with $2.2 million, but as it was bought for a much higher price, it’s still short of the break-even figure.
