Vijay Devarakonda had essayed the role of a medico who had severe anger management issues. It was Sharwanand who heard the story first, but the role went to Vijay Devarakonda, eventually. The rough feel he brought to the role was seen in the trailer.
Speaking during the pre-release event, Sharwa said that ‘Arjun Reddy’ was one of the best stories that he had heard in the recent times, adding that he was jealous of Vijay Devarakonda that he took his film. But, we aren’t sure if Sharwanand could have brought that rough feel.
Vijay Devarakonda is a less known hero compared to Sharwanand who is popular for soft roles. But then, Sharwa too had done a couple of films in which he did rough roles like in ‘Prastanam’.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga gave clarity on the run-time of the film. It is going to be 3 hours and plus. OMG! He also accepted that the CBFC had chopped off several parts of the film. If the runtime is more than 3 hours after chopping, what would have been the runtime before the film went to the certifying board?
