Even as Vishwaroopam faced several controversies regarding its Muslim group issues, the release of the film on the 25th of January has been met by an almost universal approval. The film has been widely appreciated all over the country and several notable actors have voiced their praise for Kamal’s direction and filmmaking abilities.
Most recently, prominent director Shankar who has been extensively known for his grandiose style of film making, remarked that having seen Kamal’s Vishwaroopam, he is completely taken by Kamal’s direction as well as the technical brilliance of the film. Shankar also stated that while he has always been impressed by Kamal’s acting, the making of this film has severely amplified his impression of Kamal as a director.
