It is official now, due to Kerala floods, the post-production work of ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu‘ is getting postponed. The lead actor of the film Naga Chaitanya has confirmed this himself. The new release date of the movie is said to be in the second week of September. Usually, fans aren’t happy with the postponement, but here is a rare case that they are so glad.
It is so, because, a September second week release means Shailaja Reddy Alludu arriving for Vinayaka Chavithi festival. It would be a rare festival release for Akkineni heroes. In the past, the family’s biggest blockbuster ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ was a festival release, and the biggest opener ‘Akhil’ was also a festival release.
However, there is an interesting predicament here. September 13th release would mean a clash with Samantha’s U Turn. Not only that, Nagarjuna’s Devadasu will arrive two weeks later. In case, U Turn gets delayed by a week, that would mean three films from the same family coming in back to back weeks. It will be interesting to see what decision Shailaja Reddy Alludu’s unit makes considering the unique situation at hand. Follow Mirchi9 on Google NewsThis Week Releases on OTT – Check ‘Rating’ Filter
