‘Cricketer Friendly Fitness and Diet Routine’, that’s what Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor has been following these days because he has to fit into Nani’s shoes for the Hindi remake of ‘Jersey’. He has been really working hard to fit into the role and look like a cricketer.
Nani’s performance in the original was appreciated and that’s not going to be easy for the lead in the remake. Shahid has to face comparisons, inevitably. The Bollywood star passed the rest of Arjun Reddy remake in Hindi.
So, surpassing Nani wouldn’t be a big deal for him compared to Vijay Deverakonda’s impact of Arjun Reddy movie. In fact, Shahid can even better Nani in the cricket playing portions of the movie as Nani couldn’t make an impact as a player but did a fab job in the emotional scenes as a father.
The director of the original, Gautham Tinnanuri helming the Hindi remake as well is another asset for Shahid who had the benefit of the original’s director for Kabir Singh, as well. Shahid’s commitment is not just about the fitness but following the cricketer friendly diet. That sounds like a real deal, doesn’t it?
